Engine #1 is a 1928 Maxim and is the very first truck The Turn of River Fire Department owned when we were founded in 1928. Engine #1 was actually sold during its past history to a farmer and was later found by one of our members sitting in the farmer's barn covered with dust and dirt. The picture you see above is a picture of Engine #1 during one of our open house days where we invite the public to the firehouse to view vehicle rescue drills, live burns, and enable children and adults to ask any questions they may have on their minds about our operation and firefighting in general.
